Pupil Leadership
At St Joseph's we provide many opportunities for our pupils to develop leadership skills. This enables them to grow in confidence, as well as learning to work as part of a team.
YEAR 6 PUPIL LEADERS
All pupils in Year 6 have a leadership role. Voting take place in the summer term at the end of Year 5 ready to take up their roles in the Autumn term. When they move into Year 6, there is a pupil leadership assembly, which parents are invited to. Our Year 6 leaders make their pledges to the whole school community and are presented with badges which denote their role.
Our Year 6 leadership groups are as follows:
House Captains: Captains represent each of our four houses. St Joseph's has four school houses: St Mary Magdalene., St Dominic, St Teresa of Lisieux and St Francis
Sports Captains: There are sports captains allocated to each of our houses. They promote an active and healthy lifestyle and they take a lead in the organisation and running of our whole school sports day.
Eco Captains: These children meet regularly and focus on ways in which we can contribute to a cleaner and healthier environment.
Prefects: Our prefects contribute in many ways to our school life by helping out with organisational tasks or supporting younger pupils in a variety of activities.
