Computing
At St Joseph's Catholic Primary School, we are dedicated to providing our children with an innovative and engaging curriculum which prepares them for the digital age. As such, our intent for computing, is to equip our students with the essential digital literacy and computational thinking skills they need to succeed in today's fast-paced technological world. Our goal is to enable them to become confident, independent, and responsible users of technology; able to keep themselves and others safe in the online world.
We recognise that technology is rapidly changing and we are committed to providing our children with the skills and knowledge they need to adapt to these changes. We aim to create a supportive learning environment which encourages our students to explore and experiment with technology.
Our approach to computing is based on the principle of active learning, where pupils learn by doing. We believe that by providing our children with hands-on experiences using the latest technology and software, we can ignite their passion for learning and inspire them to pursue careers in technology.
